The Coffee Shop of the Mythical World

The coffee shop entryway rises up four hundred feet four-hundred-foot-high archway is beautifully decorated. Some appeared as organic forms resembling tree trunks and were never straight; others formed as Corinthian or Doric types. On the floor were ancient tiles stolen from old buildings, resulting in a disharmonious profusion, decorative yet still confusing. Some tiles came from structures that existed ten million years ago. In parts of the coffee shop, darkness dropped from the ceiling. Dim lamps vaguely resembled aquatic-shaped creatures and other oddly shaped artistic things. On the tables of the coffee shop were liquids that were never contained in glass, ceramic, or metal receptacles. The fluids held their form together; a spoon was inserted it didn’t disturb the shape. Or sugar without the bowl, it continued to retain its shape. Then it was asked why there was a need for cups. Because of traditional thinking, people were uncomfortable with liquid not contained in cups. Some of the tables were composed of light. In the center, a rippling drink had variations of concoctions. People would again dip a spoon to take it to sweeten their beverages.

The walls and pillars of the coffee shop shifted location every time customers came in, different in color, design, and form; it was the same pillars. In some places, it was dark; near the windows, it was brighter than sunlight. People who sat there saw the windows and walls changing in configuration with amazement. It was a popular pastime as people anticipated the change; they asked one another and themselves what would come next. The tables mainly stayed the same unless owners had replaced them. Colorful cushions that were rotated, the customers and the owners must have had millions of them that were changed every day. Customers were treated to pillows of new colors, designs, and patterns. Only the oldest customers saw the same one twice, which is extremely rare.

Things crawled around the coffee shop; they were apparitions, spider-like with extremely long legs that frightened customers, yet they continued to come for that excitement. The shop was clean and extremely old in the number of centuries that the coffee shop had existed. The crawling animals changed colors, which delighted customers.

That was one of the coffee shops of the fantasy world. They were different; these coffee shops had no limits to their potential.
