Someone and Thing that’s Not There

People had heard the sounds of footsteps walking in other rooms; they investigated there was nothing, and they continued to listen to noises and voices. Where these beings existed in the mind, that was what people had heard. Were they beings who would have lived, or from another part of reality? Hasn’t that been a common thing? Ghosts or people entering from another universe. Rooms were there; it was through the mind, whatever was imagined was heard, footsteps or voices, but wasn’t that the creation of the mind? Some beings existed because they entered a reality that walked and threatened the person who thought of them. Imagine another thing that was able to destroy them.

Small figures of various colors made out of colorful light and translucent material fade and reappear. Walking from one place to another, if the figures are owned by people, they have often heard them walking, but when they go to check, the thing doesn’t move. Society had come to accept that small toy figures were alive. Sometimes they formed into a thin straight line and disappeared, and the owner tried to find it. Days later, the owner thought it was misplaced.

Forests that appeared at irregular intervals then faded with the sounds of remote forests. Some called them ghost forests that once existed. People ventured into the forest of the future, got lost, they discovered another world. Many writers had found eerie solemnity and silence near the ghost forest while still sitting in the forest of the natural world. Eventually, a coffee shop for people to rest was established there.

It wasn’t uncommon for cities, forests, deserts, oceans, or anything else to have faded away and come back. That was a form of defense because they didn’t wish to be found by enemies. In the exact location, the city could have appeared. Still, later it disappeared, and a forest seemed that be the way to the fantasy world. With imagination, anything was possible.
